There is magic in the "Coloring Book for Me" app. To get it to work, tap the "magic wand" icon on the left to the colour palette.
In the pop-up menu you will see 2 options: textures and MagicPhoto.
Tap the first one in order to apply textures to the image. On the background, you will see how the original image changes and can always choose the "none" option if you don't like these default filters.
In this example, we've chosen the "LEATHER" filter.
